Started With Three Dudes and A Mower

Picture a 14-year-old Shaun Musser and two buddies, one of them with a driver’s license (thankfully), loading up a mower and hitting the neighborhood. They called themselves “Three Dudes Mowing,” and honestly, it had a great ring to it.

Life eventually took two of them in different directions, but the lawn care bug had bitten Shaun, and it wasn’t letting go. By 2003, he made it official, and SM Lawn Care was born.

For years, Shaun balanced construction work during the day while keeping Lancaster County lawns looking sharp on the side. Then in 2009, with the unwavering support of his wife, he took the leap and went full-time. It’s a decision he hasn’t looked back on since.

From “Three Dudes Mowing” to a thriving local business serving hundreds of residential and commercial properties across Lancaster County, Shaun’s story is one of grit, consistency, and a genuine love for the craft.
